Our Mission: Drama Rocket is a child development theatre arts program that ignites creativity, supercharges self-confidence, boosts social skills and launches brave dreamers into the world. Our mission is to use theatre arts as a tool to develop future creators who will stand out as leaders among their peers and provide innovative solutions to problems that are facing our fast-changing world.

What we do:
We are an after-school Theatre Arts Enrichment Program that serves children ages 4-12. During the school year, we offer weekly drama classes in preschools, elementary schools and intermediate schools throughout the Greater Houston area including The Woodlands, Spring and Magnolia.

Creative, happy, self-motivated, responsible, on-time, HIGH energy Leaders who LOVE children, and like us, have a passion for helping grow their self-confidence and develop invaluable life skills that will help them succeed in their future endeavors.

What we provide our Pilots:

Curriculum, on-going training and support, classroom tools and all necessary props/costumes

What you need to know before applying: 

  • Drama Rocket Pilots are expected to provide a positive and nurturing environment each week where children feel safe and confident to express their thoughts and feelings through the creative arts. At Drama Rocket, our main objective is to develop each child. Period. It’s not as easy as it sounds, or is it?
  • Drama Rocket Pilot positions are Part-Time only, between 2-8 hours per week in the afternoons. We offer excellent pay, flexible hours, follow all school holidays and are off in the summer! Hey, we get it, we have families and lives too!
  • Classes meet in the afternoons on school campuses. Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance is required.
  • Drama Rocket follows the school calendar (August - May). Before you apply for this position, please confirm you are willing and able to commit to one full school year to be a Drama Rocket Pilot. Consistency is key to the successful development process of every child. We refuse to let them down.
  • Previous teaching experience coupled with excellent classroom management skills are highly recommended.
  • Specific theatre training in acting, directing and teaching children, and/or previous camp counselor experience is a plus!
